Cancun Confidential #2
It's Friday, the last full day of our week in Cancun. Lots of sunburns and the level of alcohol has dropped in the city because of our group. Temperatures still running in the lower 80s and one of our guys mentioned the after returning home Saturday he has never shoveled snow with a sunburn! Had grilled salmon, squid, and mahi mahi for lunch. There's always a giant bowl of guacamole ready too! Mike V brought his IPOD boombox on the trip so we've been having our own 949 beachparty after dark each night. It's really hard to dance in the sand. Those Beachparty movies were a lie!

Cancun Confidential!
Ola! From Cancun Tuesday
It has been a jam packed two days since our arrival in Cancun on Saturday. Sunday we took a catamaran to the Isle of Muhejes for snorkeling and a dolphin show. Do not let anyone tell you that I got a little sea sick on the way over. Not true?
Monday we visited Chichen Itza. The Mayan ruins in centray Yucatan State. Very impressive. I even saw the ruin that used to be their local radio station.
Following that we swam in a sunken cave pool. 150 feet down and 160 feet deep. I think the sea monster rubbed against my foot once.
Today is Tuesday and we have nothing to do for the next four days than enjoy the low 80s temps and hang around the pool.....what....its time for lunch again...OK....Adios!

I'm off to Cancun Saturday w
ith 75 sun seeking listeners of 949 KCMO. Many of us fly direct on Frontier Airlines from KC to Cancun. It's been years since I was there so looking forward to see what developments have occurred. The temperatures have been running in the lower 80s and I've loaded up on the suntan oil. Mike O'Brien will take care of music in the morning for you next week and if the internet is affordable in Cancun I'll try to send along some blogs through the week.
