The aroma of flavorful chili will permeate Old Town Lenexa with the return of the Lenexa Chili Challenge on Oct. 11–12, 2019. This free event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Nearly 200 teams will compete for top prizes in chili, salsa and hot wings categories.
Teams offer free food samples on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Other activities include live music by Flashback Band, children’s arts and crafts, food vendors, fireworks at 8 p.m. on Friday night (weather permitting), and the Kids Kornbread Contest on Saturday. www.lenexa.com/chili
