Celebrate our nation's Independence Day this summer in Old Town Lenexa!
The 36th annual Lenexa Freedom Run will be held on July 4 in Old Town, on Santa Fe Trail Drive at Pflumm Road. Each year, runners and walkers of all activity levels participate in this family friendly event. Participants may choose the 5K course or 10K course, which are flat and fully traffic-controlled. About 1600 runners participate in this fun celebration of our country’s independence. Each participant receives a patriotic T-shirt with registration. Following the race, participants are encouraged to stay in Old Town for the old-fashioned, hometown Community Days Parade.
The annual Lenexa Community Days Parade is a hometown tradition that draws thousands of spectators to Old Town Lenexa to celebrate Independence Day. The 2014 Community Days Parade will be held on Friday, July 4th. Friends and family gather along the parade route to watch floats, bands, antique cars and more!
